Hi guys! It’s early Wednesday evening and the fall finale of The 100 is about to come on. I thought I’d start the photo recap before this show rips out my heart and feeds it to a Reaper. There’s a theory floating around that Raven is going to die instead of Finn. Of course, I just cover my ears and hum We Wish You A Merry Christmas because I refuse to flirt with that idea. What’s my theory, you ask? My theory is that this is The 100, and it’s scientifically impossible to predict where this loco ride will take us.
I hope you’re all are doing what I’m doing, and just enjoying the last few precious moments of stress-free bliss before the show destroys our souls. So, how’s everyone doing? Your week was good? Mine too. A’int life grand? Oh, it’s starting…
HOLY SHIT THEY KILLED FINN! MY EYES ARE LEAKING!
Nom nom nom… (that’s me eating my hat). Remember last week when I was all, “They’ll never kill Finn. No way, Jose, nuh uh, not gonna happen.” Boy, is my face red! You got me, show, you really got me!
You all know I was never the biggest Finn fan (say Finn fan out loud, you won’t regret it). However, in one short episode, I found my heart warming to his charming breathy voice and his furrowed brows. When the credits rolled on this episode, my face was sopping wet.
Finn deserved to go. It was time. And in true The 100 fashion, the marvelous storytellers behind this violent masterpiece knew exactly when to drop the hammer. No, Finn wasn’t my favourite, but I am going to miss Thomas McDonnell. He’s a talented actor and I have no doubt we’ll see his handsome mug on our TV screens again soon. Maybe give him a comedy? Let the boy unfurrow his brows. He’s earned it.
Okay, enough journaling, let’s photo recap this horrifying teen adventure!
Clarke came back from the slumber party with her new BFF with some news.
Be careful what you wish for, Finn! Clarke revealed that the Grounders would like a chat with Finn, and shit hit the proverbial fan. The crowd called for his head, guards were useless, and Raven punched Captain Grumpy!
Then, in Flashback Land:
Honestly, this scene did more to humanize Finn than the entire first season. Was it his vicinity to the greatest human to ever grace television? Probably. But it also showcased what made Finn the moral anchor in season 1 – his compassion. However, unlike season 1, it did it without making him a total wiener.
Back in Arc Camp, Bellamy and Clarke convinced Finn to hide from his imminent death, and thus began the greatest aspect of this episode:
The bromance is back!! You guys, my heart leapt out of my body at the ferocity with which Bellamy tried to save Finn this episode. Remember when these two did nothing but glare at each other and fight about who is the coolest? Now Bellamy is risking his life to save Finn and I CANNOT GET ENOUGH.
Anyway, then Clarke started playing the blame game.
Let’s be perfectly clear. The massacre of a peaceful village is 100% on Finn.
The team went to Lincoln for advice, and he was all, “eff him”. To which Clarke was like, “But he was your bestie!” And Lincoln looked all butt-hurt and was like, “tell that to his new best friend Bellamy.” Fair point. Then they made the mistake of asking him what will happen to Finn, and Lincoln did NOT hold back.
Abby let Raven go (because remember when she punched Burne??), then she had a nice chat with Jaha.
Abby’s decision to protect Finn was, well… dumb. I understand that she’s a kick ass compassionate lady, but this fight could potentially wipe out her people.
On the other hand: “That was a different time. A different chancellor.” BUUUUUURN!
Finn confessed his love to Clarke, which went over as well as one would expect after murdering a bunch of innocent people.
They were interrupted by a Grounder campfire song that roughly translated to, “let’s get this show on the road.”
Even the Grounders were like, “wait, what? Seriously? Is this a prank? No, really. REALLY?”
Then Kane returned from his leisurely stroll, and his reunion with Abby was ELECTRIC. Love these two. Oh, and she mentioned she was keeping his job.
He didn’t seem to put-out by it. Then he suggested they prosecute Finn themselves, which would likely end in an execution.
Bellamy, being the crafty anti-hero he is, figured they were turning on Finn.
Some dude came at Finn, but Bellamy PUNCHED HIM IN THE FACE and they skedaddled. Man, the extras on this show are so rude!
Also, as it turns out, Raven wasn’t initially accepted to be the hottest, coolest, most badass mechanic not on the planet. She was pretty bummed, so Finn brainstormed a little cheering up.
He got her a space walk for her birthday! Raven is the Spacewalker! Then, naturally, shit went wrong, jumpstarting a series of events that lead to hurt glances, Raven getting shot, and Finn going crazy.
So as it turns out, Finn was in jail for Raven. Technically (I mean, it WAS his idea in the first place). This made him one thousand, eight hundred and fifty seven times more likable, ammiright?
Finn and Clarke were discussing logistics when a lone Grounder literally pounced on them. But, because Finn is now a REFORMED murderer, he didn’t pull the trigger.
Bellamy and Raven were waiting for them at the drop ship, but look who showed up instead!
It’s the Beautiful Creepster!! This guy is yearning for redemption so bad, and he’s going about it with so much sass. I love every second of it.
Finn brought an injured Clarke to the dropship and clearly blamed himself for almost getting her killed. Right you are, my boy!
Abby consulted with Lincoln and found out that Indra is the one standing in the way of peace. Well, her and a LOT of murder. Just a whole whack of it. Anyway, she scheduled a meeting.
I was legit clawing my nails into my arm, afraid Abby was going to die. Stop making me believe literally everyone is going to die, The 100! (Never, ever stop, I beg you)
After Finn had tender moments with both female points of his previous love triangle, the Grounders showed up to the party. Raven brainstormed the idea of giving them a consolation prize in the form of a Beautiful Creepster.
Finn stepped in and came up with a plan that consisted of everyone pretending he wasn’t going to give himself up.
Oh, and then Finn told Clarke to “be careful”, which in TV really means “I love you.” And she was like, “yeah, obvs.” and walked out. Then he made this face…
… solidifying his next role as whatever the heck he wants. Producers, take note. Thomas McDonell is on the market!
Anyway, then Finn (obviously) gave himself up.
Everyone gathered by the fence to watch the horrifically violent carnival that was about to take place. This moment was my favourite in the episode, and I’ll tell you why. Both Bellamy and Raven pleaded with the adults to do something, and when they were denied, a look passed between our three heroes. They didn’t need words. These three knew that something had to be done, and they were the ones to do it.
I’ve talked about the relationships on this show, and how they’re what draws me back. It’s these perfect little moments that truly illustrate how far these kids have come, how much they’ve grown, and how much they depend on each other. It’s simply beautiful.
ANYWAY. Raven slipped Clarke a neat looking knife, then Clarke went to have a chat with her new bestie.
So instead, Clarke asked to say goodbye.
Seriously, folks, this scene was beautiful. “Thanks Princess.” UGH WHY IS MY BODY CONVULSING, oh right those are sobs.
But, what truly tore my (and I’m sure everyone else’s) heart out was this:
DAMN, Lindsey Morgan. Just… damn. That was sad, you guys.
Spacewalker finally made me care about his character. Then, in true The 100 tradition, violently tore him from my TV screen.
Finn has served his purpose. In season one he was the voice of reason – the audience stand in. In season 2 he showcased just how much these kids have changed (even if the train to crazy town did travel a bit too fast). And now, Finn is the price the Sky People have to pay for peace.
As far as the debate about how Finn’s ordeal was treated narratively, and what message that sends, I’m not sure we should nitpick. Yes, the council forgave him, but Clarke never did. Clarke is the person we all relate to. She is our star. We see this crazy world through her eyes. Clarke may have said “I love too”, but she never forgave him. Regardless of what justice Finn did or did not face, he ultimately didn’t get forgiveness from the one he most wanted it from. Nor should he have.
What did you guys think??? Did you have to mop up your face with an entire roll of toilet paper? Are the pieces of your heart currently swimming around in your chest? Or did you just plum not care?
I am VERY PUMPED for the return of this glorious show in the new year. The repercussions of Finn’s death are going to be compelling and just plain awesome.

I never hated Finn. Not when he cheated on Raven, not when he killed a village, not when he shot that grounder. As crazy as it sounds, Finn is a good person. He’s selfless and willing to let himself be tortured for his own village. He went to prison so his girlfriend could have her dream. He was always so hesitant to harm the grounders, even in self-defense. And then after the events of season 1 finale, he changed. The trauma he went through stripped away his previous pacifist nature and made him ruthless. It ruined him. I agree with AcornArmy below that it is very very likely he was suffering from PTSD. You can see how afterwards he feels awful and he’s broken. He knows he is broken and he will never be the same Finn who caught Clarke when she was passed out from the virus and could have gotten him sick too, the same Finn who stole colored pencils for Clark and put flowers in Octavia’s hair, the same Finn who didn’t want to bomb the people who tried to kill his friends. In a way, Finn was already dead. He died the day he shot up that village.

I had a problem with Finn’s rapid decline into psychopathy, too. The only thing I can think of that might make sense of it is the idea that maybe Finn was having a major PTSD episode. He was obviously coming closer and closer to losing it the more time went by without him finding Clarke, and maybe that got mixed up with PTSD from the Reaper tunnels(where he killed someone for the first time) and the battle at the Dropship. Maybe losing Clarke on top of his reaction to those two events just drove him out of his right mind.
Not that this is any kind of excuse for murdering 18 people, but maybe it explains why he lost his shit so quickly.

This episode made me root for Finn and actually like him and then he was tragically ripped from me. I swear up until the episode before the midseason finale I wanted him to do die and then I was like he’s a pacifist who’s gone crazy…Long story short, I didn’t want him to die in the midseason finale! I sobbed, I’m not going to lie!

Yeah, I think a lot of people became more interested in Finn this episode because we finally got some back story on the guy. He has to be the most underdeveloped lead in this series, like we know more about Miller than we do about Finn. What was job? What were his interests? Does he have a family? Besides some of the pacifist/peacekeeper arc, his only purpose was the drama he added to Clarke’s narrative (and also Raven’s). Which is fine, she is the main character. But if you know nothing about where a character is coming from it makes it a bit hard for the audience to sympathize with or care about them.

By the time I was done watching this episode, I was in tears. No amount of recaps that I read even from other websites could capture those final moments. While most fans were probably expecting Clarke to do the most obvious and kill Lexa (that would have been the dumbest thing on this earth), I was not expecting Clarke to do what she did. I felt the pain and the conflict of emotions. And then when Raven realized what just happened, I needed a towel. Now gotta wait forever it feels like for us to see what happens now. Clarke did what she needed to save the rest of the people and us, as the viewers from having to watch someone burn. But reading this recap @toni, made me laugh so hard though. Thank you

That was a pretty good way for Finn to go in the end. I was never that bothered about his character really but they did give him a great send off. Kudos to you writers, you made me care a bit about Finn and that is an achievement.

I am so glad that Finn died. I feel terrible for saying that especially because i liked him in season one, but I seriously i am so glad that the very awkward scenes between Finn and Clarke are over. What I don’t get is why Abby and everyone doesn;t jump on the opportunity to stop the war when they get it. It is ok for Kane and Jaha to give up their lives for all the people but when Finn is asked to it is not allowed. I dont get it. Oh and thanks for the recap it was hilarious.

Crow’s, I mean, Raven’s idea of Clarke killing the Grounder leader and absconding with Finn “in the confusion” was a really stupid idea that redeemed all other stupid ideas and made them feel proud of themselves. Because really… If Clarke had killed the girl, it’s Clarke that would suffer the consequences, and in the next scene we would see two poles with people tied to them: one for Finn and one for Clarke. And the Arkers would have to watch both being tortured and killed. But the minute she gave Clarke the shank (or was it a knife?), I knew Clarke was going to use it on Finn. So the final scene was no surprised to me and, I believe, most viewers. But still it was a very poignant moment.

Scene where the Grounders have Finn and the Sky People are watching from behind their fence: ‘Pfff, they’re gonna save him.’
Scene with Clarke and the commander and Clarke looking at Finn: ‘daaamn, she’s gonna let them kill Finn!’
Clarke asking commander if she can say goodbye: ‘DAAAAMN, Clarke’s gonna kill Finn herself!?!?!’ And from that moment I knew Finn was done.
Nice mindf*cking episode. Very curious how Clarke will feel in season 2b. 🙂

I will miss Finn and the way his eyebrows flicked up when he said something important. And how he never unzipped his jacket and he was so pretty when he was clean…. Sob.
Poor Murphy, he’s trying so hard to be one of the gang and the girls aren’t having it.
Abby is the worst chancellor in the world in terms of leadership and keeping all her people safe but I love her so she should stay in charge.
have to say, if I was Raven and Finn hugged me and said “til we meet again” I might have figured out what he was planning.
Important question. Did Clarke say she loved him because she actually did? Or to send him to his death happy? Well, not happy exactly happy but you know what I mean.

I mean, people can interpret a story however they like, but imo, yeah, she loved him. I know there were quite a few people who didn’t see the chemistry between them, but regardless, from interviews with Jason Rothenberg and Eliza Taylor and others, the narrative they created always maintained Clarke’s love for Finn. But she hadn’t really forgiven him for not telling her about his relationship with Raven, and there was absolutely no way she would have ever forgiven him for the massacre. So I think that’s part of the tragedy of this, that at this point, there were absolutely no other circumstances that would have led her to admit this to him except for at the moment at his death.

They did not make me care for Finn at all. Sure he went to prison for Raven sure he keeps saying that he did all of it for Clarke sure he saved everybody by giving himself up.
But still when tears came out of my eyes at the end of this episode it was clear for me , I don’t care about Finn’s death but i care Clarke had to do it.
Why is she always the one who has to do that?
She did the same for Adam in season 1 but she did not knew him.
Why is she the one who needs to make the hard choice.?
I want to know what will happen to her now. Will Abby finally give her the Chancellor pin? She wouldbe such a great Chancellor. The 3 of them were just ready to look at Finn while he suffered 18 deaths.

This ep was so good!!!!!!! I was so happy Finn died only because i didnt think they could do anymore with his character but kill him off. I did super duper cry though, and that is due to Clarke and eveything she has done and will continue to do to save and protect her people!!!!

Jaha has a purpose? Hmm… Well, from the start he has seemed like a slightly lesser character than Abby or Kane, but somehow connected. Sort of like a stabilizer for their rash and emotional actions. Now that none of these 3 are making the big decisions (because Clarke is, obvs.), all three kind of need a purpose. Maybe that will become clearer now that Clarke has averted a war and/or forced migration of the ark survivors.

Well, I mean his purpose, the reason his character exists, is to contrast other characters to highlight traits in these other characters that the writers possibly want the audience to notice. Ya know? I’m not a Jaha fan by any stretch (other than Isaiah is a good actor). His story probably should have ended last season. There had to be other ways to introduce the breadth of the populated areas of earth.

I don’t disagree, it’s just that the three of them are kind of rattling around as minor characters lately. I wouldn’t suggest any changes, but I did kind of like how there were two stories last season, each with its own main characters. Now they have combined them, and now there are overlaps and redundancies until they sort out the roles and hierarchy.

I think “little devil’s advocate” is spot on. Clearly still a bit unstable from his ordeal, out of touch and out of place in this new environment/situation, he may have been a good Chanselor for the Ark, but not here. His only role right now is to sow the seeds of discontent and “be” the couter-argument to Abby. I’m just scared of when he goes full crazy and tries to take power by force. Some people will follow him the way they follow crazy cult leaders.

That’s the beauty of Finn’s last scene. He did an awful thing, but his death wasn’t this divine retribution that such an atrocity warrants. It was quiet. It was sad. It was filled with love and loss. Because he didn’t just lose his life and Clarke, he lost the care free guy he started the show as. Someone who put others before himself; knew what right was. That is what made me, not regret, but feel bad that I was so done with his character. It was a great exit.

If Jason took away Bellarke or Murphamy I couldn’t watch the show…okay, I could, but I’d be really upset. Bellarke is canon in the books, but I like their relationship better on the show it’s more raw and realistic. I love to hate Bellamy and Murphy so much. I think Murphamy is hilarious! When Raven suggested giving up Murphy instead of Finn I was so pissed off at her I literally thought “I liked you a lot, but it’s over you bitch.”

I still love Raven but (I don’t know if I made this up or not) when Murphy’s eyes welled up with tears, I had a “chicken-head-finger-snap” moment. It was like “how could you Raven? He wasn’t trying to kill his friends or anything. HE WAS HELPING!!”

So, I finally get my wish of seeing Bellamy officially usurp Finn as the male lead of the show, BUT AT WHAT COST!? I’m not saying the show losing Finn is the great cost, but the emotional scarring that the episode left on me may never go away! Much as I was NOT team Finn, the whole concept of how much he loved Clarke, how he killed for Clarke, lost everything for Clarke, and was killed BY CLARKE! Man. Any guy who has ever really liked a girl, and been stupid about it and lost her, can relate to that. Admittedly, I never massacred a village full of innocents for a girl, but I probably would have, had I had access to a huge gun and a village full of innocents and was drunk.
And he finally gets his “I Love You” before she mercy kills him. That was painful. But very well done. This show has GOT to be one the best shows on TV. My only question is, what do people who DON’T watch this watch instead? I basically only watch the CW anymore, so I really don’t know what other networks shows are even like, but I refuse to believe that “How To Get Away With Murder” or whatever the Hell people watch, is better than this.

im saying though! after the episode went off and i was all hyped up and jittery, i came on the internet to search for fandom fangirls and all i got was crickets. all i could think was that this is one of the best shows on network television and nobody knows it but me. lol, im trying to recruit coworkers right now cause i know we need the ratings. i feel like its gonna come down to this and the originals getting renewed and im not sure who’d win even though we pull in more viewers because they’ve got the devoted yet totally craycray tvd fandom behind them.

Well if it comes down to those two shows I say Originals will get renewed, which I wouldn’t complain about because that and TVD are my favorite shows ( I am a card carrying member of the craycray fandom!) Though I’m not saying it’s better than the 100, I’m just saying that it is part of a franchise with TVD, so for purposes of syndication and character reasons (like for example, if after TVD ends and they want to ship any of those characters over to the Originals like how Buffy did with Angel) but hopefully it won’t come down to the 100 or the Originals. It’d be better for them to keep the 100 than that Jayne the Virgin show-because even though that got positive reviews, it doesn’t really fit with the theme of the network anymore.

lol as am i, but i can get my tvd fix from actually watching tvd. i figure they can just send everyone in nola to mystic falls. so given the choice i’d choose the 100, but i don’t think the network would. lol i also watch jtv though!!

Yep, The 100 is 1000x more better than HTGAWM. Most CW shows these days are of a higher quality than what’s on network television.

I agree with you on the CW being awesome, and what sucks is, it has such a stigma attached to it, like people don’t want to watch it JUST because it’s the CW! But right now I’m regularly watching at least one prime time show per night on the CW (except Friday night and the weekend) I don’t know that I’ve ever done that with another network! Currently I watch The 100, Arrow, the Flash, The Originals and TVD which are all super high quality great shows (yes TVD slumped a bit last season, but it is in prime form again right now! ) so I think it’s high time people start admitting that the CW is a viable TV network! Or at least better than any of the three major networks. (Funny that CBS and CW are affiliated, but CW is awesome and CBS is 90% crap!)

It’s sad that people are missing out on some truly amazing television on The CW because of their bias and prejudice against it. I blame Dawn Ostroff for pushing Gossip Girl and 90210 thereby giving The CW a bad reputation. I watch almost everything on the network which includes: The 100, Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries, Arrow, The Originals, Reign and The Flash and I’m proud to admit it. After cancelling The Secret Circle, I made a promise to never watch any new show on the network but thank god I didn’t stick to it.

Now I agree that 90210 reboot was a steaming pile of crap, with no direction, no purpose beyond cashing in on the brand-though I watched it anyway, just because AnnaLynne McCord carried the whole show and she was great. Gossip Girl, in it’s first season was every bit as good as the shows CW has now-but it faltered quite fast,. I liked the actors and the characters, particularly, Chuck and Dan, but the stories and plot threads became so repetitive and redundant you stopped caring. It was always, more or less, watchable, but after the first two seasons, never exciting. It never reached greatness again. The last episode actually, I really liked, but I would be shocked to find people still watching at that point!
But I have been watching this network since when I was in high school and it was the “WB” -in the Buffy and Dawson days, so I always knew it could bring the quality. But, under a different name, even with it’s best line up of shows EVER, people still can’t shake the stigma. I wish I could do more to help, all I can do is turn on as many friends to shows as I can. And I have snagged quite a few!

The last 10 minutes of the episode were completely perfect. I’ve got to stop watching the previews though because I feel like they over-hype.
You could destroy someone’s soul with “All About That Bass,” like, easily.
Sorry about your thumb, definitely appreciate your commitment (I will only type one-handed if there’s something serious like a scone involved or something.)
As an aside, Clarke would have the most amazing Pinterest ever. She could have a whole board for “Deadly Weapons Under A Dollar” and she could repin Abby’s “How to Resuscitate Your Favorite Detoxed Grounder!”

Another fantastic recap, Toni_watches! Most shows that hype up a major character death would often cop-out at the last second but The 100 actually has the balls to commit to killing off Finn. Major props to the writers for how it went down. I was never a big fan of Finn but I felt that this was the only way for his character to go after the massacre. It’s sad to imagine what this’ll do to Clarke and most of all, Raven as he was the closest thing she had as family. Seriously, Raven’s scream at the end was haunting.

Fantastic episode, utterly grand.
I love how everything plays out in this show and how willing they are to explore dark complicated subjects. I liked how Clarke says ‘I love you’ to Finn at the end- I was never completely sold that they had this epic love for each other or any viable romantic chemistry, but in this moment I was convinced that Clarke did love Finn, perhaps not romantically but in a family sense which made her mercy killing even more profound and tragic to watch.
I also liked how politically it turned out. The grounder’s torture of Finn in front of the sky people’s camp would give them an upper hand in their deal- it stated ‘We are not to be messed with when you mess with us and we don’t give a damn about what you think and will insensitively display torturing one of your own people joyfully.’By taking this away from the Grounders I think Clarke may have put them on an equal playing field, however she has displayed a force that also should not be reckoned with- that she is willing to do whatever it takes for the sake of herself and her people.

The grounders have the upper hand in any of the ways they play it. They have it now because the sky people didn’t complete their part of the deal in full, but they had it anyway since they can wipe the sky people camp any time they want. Stronger army always grants the upper end of the deal in politics.

“Move your feet Lose your seat” Not only did Abby tell Kane she was keeping his job, Jaha was all “Yep she totally is, don’t even fight her on this.”
And I have to say this episode was remarkable for one other reason, I actually liked Murphy! Admittedly I didn’t fully see what you saw in him until now.
So I still miss Wells and Anya, their deaths really came out of nowhere I couldn’t prepare. But Finn- that was heart wrenching!

I actually thought that was a real jerk move on Raven’s part, trying to offer up the Creepster that way.
If we all think back, all he was really guilty of before his wrongful hanging was major dickery. Not even so much worse than Bellamy at that point, who was also pretty douchey in the beginning. Just Bellamy had his sister’s backstory to help us forgive him.
He only became a murderer when he got back to camp after being banished and tortured by the grounders. He was banished for chasing Charlotte, the real murderer, through the woods.
I am not even a huge Creepster fan at all, but I do feel he got a bit of a bum rap. Then he came back and became what they’d made him out to be.

I agree it was unfair of Raven but I do understand where she comes from – don’t forget he shot her – severely crippled her – she almost died. That doesn’t make it right to have him pay for what someone else did, I’m only saying I can kind of understand Raven’s actions in the light of that.

I adored this episode. When it ended I was sitting on my couch alone in the dark with my mouth hanging open, tears in my eyes and feelings of joy in my guts. That was the best way it could have gone down. I’ve been saying for weeks that Finn had to die, but when Lincoln listed the horrible tortures in store for Finn (“I’ve never seen anyone survive to face the sword”… how many times have you seen this crap?) I got a little worried because, while I wanted him to face the consequences of his actions those consequences were a little OTT. Finn giving himself up was a smooth move, and obviously, the right thing to do. Clarke taking care of business and mercy-killing Finn was also the right thing to do (saving him the hand/feet chopping, eye gouging etc). It was also the biggest emotional punch in the boob they could give us.
AWESOME.

On the show: I loved the episode. I really, really did. THIS is the 100 I love.
But I missed Clarke singing to Finn the song she sang to Atom. I don’t understand how did they miss than chance. I suppose for the surprise when showing the bloody knife on her hand, but… it was too easy to guess what she was doing. Singing the song would have been way more emotional, IMO.
Watch out, Raven! Do you think Murphy is going to forgive and forget that? Our MURPHY?

I was devastated by where they took Finn this season. And even though the death was tragically amazing, it destroyed me. After the first two episodes of the season I had such high hopes for a Finn/Bellamy bromance and adventure squad shenanigans. Nope! So thank you so much for your recap. They always soothe the trauma of each episode, but it was especially needed this week! And big thanks for giving props to Thomas, which he definitely deserved, especially this last episode. He was amazing as Finn in all his incarnations, Hopefully we’ll see his face again soon.

Here are my feelings….
I found Finn’s death emotional. Not because of him though but because of how they had it happen. I cared about his death because Clarke had to do it. I honestly didn’t think they could bring this Finn business to a close in any way that I would “like” but look at that, they did! They made me care about his death because I care about Clarke (and Raven.)
I still think that everything involving Finn himself was poorly done and a lot of characters reactions to his actions were questionable but the knock on effects from what he did were pretty good to watch. Also, presumably, the knock on effects from his death will be spectacular.
A good point you made here is that Clarke never actually forgave him. She told him she loved him before he died which was nice for him but I think it did a good job at showing that sometimes you can love someone without actually liking them. She’s been off with him since the massacre. She didn’t blank him or cut him out completely but she hasn’t been the same with him, even when he said he loved her, she didn’t really want to have to deal with him despite actively trying to save his life at that point.
The adults all suck so bad on this show. Look at what they made the kids do! They’re too busy arguing over who is better at being in charge they don’t even notice the multiple times the kids stroll out of the camp. Finn is forced into making the decision himself. Of course he deserved to be punished but the Grounder torture didn’t sound like fun. He had to make the decision to hand himself over by himself because the people who are supposed to be in charge couldn’t do it. Then Clarke has to do something horrific to “save” him and all because the adults couldn’t come to a solid decision. They just talk about the problem until someone else take the decision out of their hands. I don’t know why the Grounders even bother talking to them. Go straight to Clarke from now on!

Like mother like daughter! Abby killed her husband and Clarke killed her boyrfriend! If Kane is going to be Abby’s love interest he better be careful! Will he be like a father to CLarke?
I still don’t like FInn but I felt bad for him. He was so scared. 😦 All the awards to Eliza in that last scene. She killed it. She made me cry and cry and cry some more. and then Raven crying made me cry some more.
Lexa gave CLarke THAT look. She respects Clarke and is falling in love with her. Clexa.
Can’t wait to see what comes next, but I’m sad to see that Clarke/Raven will be over because Raven will blame Clarke! *cries*
